Sandlot Solutions combines industry-leading health information technology, customizable interfaces, robust interoperability, and real-world health records management expertise to create health information exchanges (HIEs) physicians love to use.
“The products and services that drive Sandlot Solutions were created by working physicians. Because we learned firsthand that too many HIE vendors are long on technology but come up short on real-world implementation.”
— Telly Shackelford, President and Chief Technology Officer, Sandlot Solutions
“When I’m on call, I can quickly pull up all the information I need on a patient from my laptop or any computer in the hospital. I can easily find out what tests they’ve had so I don’t waste time or money ordering duplicate tests or waiting for results.”
— Paul Senter, MD, Fort Worth, Texas
Creating real connection with true interoperability
Sandlot creates interfaces between the foundational HIE technology and all the participating people, programs and systems:
- Receives and securely stores clinical data from physicians’ EMR systems including patient demographics, physician diagnosis and treatment notes and documentations, laboratory results, and medications prescribed. Sandlot Solutions currently supports interoperability with NextGen, Allscripts, and eClinical Works EMR systems.
- Collects patient-specific data from participating hospital systems including patient demographics, admission and discharge summaries, procedure results, laboratory findings, and radiology images. This data is available to medical professionals as necessary for future diagnosis and treatment.
Accessible to every clinician with a patient relationship and an Internet connection
For physicians who have not yet implemented an EMR system, Sandlot Solutions can be accessed as a secure web portal; available to an authorized user with an Internet connection and no other special software.
Fast access to clear information. Always secure
Sandlot Solutions provides all authorized medical professionals with immediate access to information from diverse sources. The system includes extensive privacy controls. The interface provides a consistent look and easy-to-navigate access to all of a patient’s medical information.
This view of the electronic health record (EHR) transforms how physicians approach their work and their patients, enabling decisions that are smart, safe, fast and cost-effective.
